This dataset contains pre-kindergarten and kindergarten enrollment data for all Massachusetts public and charter schools and districts since 2017. Both the number and percent of pre-kindergarten and full-day kindergarten students are reported by student group. The number of part-time, tuitioned, and full-time kindergarten students are also reported by the same student groups.

Economically Disadvantaged was used 2015-2021. Low Income was used prior to 2015, and a different version of Low Income has been used since 2022. Please see the DESE Researcher's Guide for more information.

It shows the number of students who received each possible score (1-5) on AP exams, as well as the percent of students scoring 1-2 or 3-5 on those exams, disaggregated by student group.

Massachusetts offers a variety of pathways and programs to ensure students graduate college and career ready. These include Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, Early College, and Innovation Pathways. For more information about these pathways and programs, visit the Office of College, Career, and Technical Education website.

This dataset contains student enrollment data for all public and charter schools and districts since 2022. It is a wide file with three groups of columns representing the following enrollment indicators:

• Number of students in CTE programs, Early College, and Innovation Pathways by grade, including grades 9-12 and special education beyond grade 12 (SP)
• Percent of students in CTE programs, Early College, and Innovation Pathways by race and gender
• Number and percent of students in CTE programs, Early College, and Innovation Pathways in student groups: First Language Not English, English Learners, Students with Disabilities, High Needs, Low Income, and Economically Disadvantaged

This dataset displays state and district level educator data by race and ethnicity for each district, with rows for different years, different educator job groups, and a wide range of
indicators. It was created as part of a dashboard supporting the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's commitment to provide all students with a racially diverse and culturally responsive educator workforce.

Total Educators: This displays the annual number and percent of distinct educators who self-reported/identified as the selected Race/Ethnicity as of the first weekday in October of each school year. Data are further disaggregated by job classification group.

Educator Retention: This displays the number and percent of educators who were working in the same position from one school year to the next (via consecutive October EPIMS collections).

New Hires: This displays the annual number and percent of new hires in the selected Race/Ethnicities. It counts teachers who were reported as "working" in the annual October EPIMS collection who were hired on or after June 1 of the prior school year.

This dataset displays educator preparation data by race and ethnicity with rows for different years. It was created as part of a dashboard supporting the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's commitment to provide all students with a racially diverse and culturally responsive educator workforce.

Educator Preparation: This displays the number and percent of candidates who enrolled and completed their program in the program year. This is based on the individuals' furthest, or most recently reported, point in the selected program year as reported by the organization.

This dataset contains the full time equivalent (FTE) count and percentage of educational staff by race/ethnicity and gender employed in all Massachusetts public and charter schools and districts since 2008. The information is as of October 1st of the school year reported.

In certain years, a small number of schools or districts have failed to meet data reporting requirements. Since 2023, FTE counts and percentages for those schools and districts are reported here as null, and on Profiles as "Failed to meet data reporting requirements." Prior to 2023, these schools and districts were reported here and on Profiles as either null or 0.

The District Analysis and Review Tools (DARTs) offer snapshots of district and school performance, allowing users to easily track select data elements over time, and make sound, meaningful comparisons to the state or to "comparable" organizations. The waterfall data shows a cohort of high school students and their progression through high school graduation, college enrollment and persistence in higher education to a second year or college completion.

This is a companion dataset to the main DART: Success After High School dataset. It contains two indicators published separately from the main dataset since the data are in a different format: "Student progression from high school through second year of postsecondary education" and "Student progression from high school through postsecondary degree completion". MTEL Pass Rates: This displays the number of candidates (i.e., test takers) who took the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure and the percent who passed during the program year.
